The Hahndorf Academy reserves the right to not accept artworks for exhibition or the catalogue. The decision of the judging panel is final. In some cases the not all of the accepted artworks will be exhibited. This depends of the number of works accepted and the wall space available.
Artworks selected by the judges for exhibition must be delivered to the Hahndorf Academy by Friday 23 September 2016 and be available for exhibition until Sunday 4 December 2016.
The collection and transport of work to and from the Hahndorf Academy and the insurance of the work whilst in transit and in the custody of the Hahndorf Academy is the responsibility and at the cost of the artist. Whilst all care will be taken, no responsibility will be accepted by the Hahndorf Academy for works lost or damaged in transit or whilst in its custody.
All works must be clearly marked with artist’s name, title of work and price.
All works must be suitably framed or mounted with D-rings attached, ready for hanging. Any 3-dimensional works requiring installation must be accompanied by clear installation instructions. Works without D-rings or instructions for display will not be exhibited.
Artists must provide an ABN or Statement indicating hobbyist status.
Artworks must be for sale. The retail price stated on the entry form and on the back of the works must include a 35% commission (GST inclusive). Payment for sold works will be made to the artist within 30 days from close of exhibition (excepting work held on lay-by).
Artists whose works are purchased on a lay-by agreement will receive payment once the artwork has been paid for in full. Lay-by agreements have a maximum duration of 3 months from the date of the first deposit. If a lay-by purchase is cancelled, the artist will retain the initial deposit (less 35% commission) and will need to arrange for the collection of the artwork.
The Hahndorf Academy reserves the right to reproduce without fee any exhibited works (including entry image) for purposes of documentation, promotion, media coverage and critical review.
Unsold exhibition works are to be collected from the Hahndorf Academy between Monday 5 December and Monday 9 December 2016. (Mon-Fri 10am – 5pm No Weekends).
