Our museum displays artefacts and stories about the First Nations Peramangk people, German settlers and early 19thC village life. We run regular creative workshops and events and love supporting artists.

Hahndorf was originally named Barkatilla, meaning deep pool. Hahndorf Academy acknowledges that we work and walk upon the ancient lands of the Peramangk Nation and pay our respect to Peramangk Elders past and living today as the traditional custodians of this ancient land.
