Located in a beautiful heritage building on the Main Street of Hahndorf with a stunning shop showcasing SA artists and creative makers. We are the second most visited gallery in South Australia and we have a contemporary exhibition program with regular rotating exhibitions. Our museum displays artefacts and stories about the First Nations Peramangk people, German settlers and early 19thC village life. We run regular creative workshops and events and love supporting artists.

Visit us on Peramangk land in the Mount Barker District of the Adelaide Hills - only 30mins south east of the city!

We are open 364 days of the year 10am-5pm.

68 Main Street, Hahndorf SA 5245 - 08 8388 7250

Hahndorf was originally named Barkatilla, meaning deep pool. Hahndorf Academy acknowledges that we work and walk upon the ancient lands of the Peramangk Nation and pay our respect to Peramangk Elders past and living today as the traditional custodians of this ancient land.
