A perfect Spring Night

The warm sun flooded the gardens and the night was calm and balmy for our Spring Night celebrations on Saturday night. Hundreds of people enjoyed circus workshops, face painting, local food and beverage, live music and festive art at the inaugural Frulingsnacht. Local children paraded their illuminated hand made lanterns at dusk which included giant duck, possum and echidna lanterns, and at nightfall the crowd was treated to an amazing fire mural spectacular. Thank you to artists Tony Hannan and Rebecca Prince for the amazing creative ideas and skills brought to this project and for the huge amounts of time dedicated to making it the wonderful event it was. Also Ruth Morris for her flag sewing expertise, those who participated in the workshops, and the many volunteers who helped make the event happen. If you missed out on coming on Saturday check out the beautiful video footage captured by the talented Chair of the Hahndorf Academy board Mike Greenwood.
