Camera Obscura Workshop
Views of Hahndorf’s streetscape upside down around our walls.
Sunday December 8th 11am-12.30pm
With Artist/educator Deb Twining.
Kids can learn about and experience the amazement of Camera Obscura and can make their own personal camera obscura to take home.
The Hahndorf Academy is hosting a photography exhibition by acclaimed Australian photographer Robyn Stacey. ‘The Ray of Light’ exhibition includes a Camera Obscura which is an optical device of wonder, it is like being inside a room size camera. The view of the outside world, through a lens on the window is projected onto the walls of the room, upside down. This is entirely a natural optical phenomenon that is very exciting to witness with cars driving along the street and people walking along the footpath by the Kaffe Haus seen upside down around our walls.
Fee: $15 per student
All materials supplied for the construction of their own Camera Obscura.
