ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS
Drawing and painting techniques are demonstrated and shared to support each individual’s exploration of style. The aim of the course is to expose you to a variety of techniques and ideas for you to take home. Students are guided according to their level of ability and in each class you create a new artwork

MATERIALS:
Bring your own brushes and acrylic paints to each class, this allows your artistry to continue between workshops. Painting kits and materials are available at The Paintbox at special academy prices for registered students.
TO PUT IN YOUR KIT:
· Acrylic paint tubes including warm and cool yellows, reds and blues plus two tubes of white.
· An acrylic medium.
· A journal for preliminary sketches
· Acrylic painting paper pad.
· Four brushes in a range of sizes
· A palette for mixing colours
· A rag

ABOUT YOUR ART TEACHER
Talya has 15 years of experience teaching children and teens in a variety of contexts including high School classrooms and private workshop spaces. She has a Bachelor of Fine Art and Diploma of Education. She believes in sharing the experience of art making. Talya runs Art Circle and facilitates Art Workshops for all occasions. I use Matisse acrylics from the Paintbox, Atelier gloss medium, filbert brushes and any paper I can find.
